Moscow Under Attack: Over 50 Killed In A Terror Attack In Russia

Media reports indicate that dozens of people have bean unalived in what is being considered a terrorist attack. The terrorist attack occurred at the Crocus concert Hall in Moscow, the capital of Russia.

It is believed that the attack was carried out by at least four gunmen who were armed with automatic and semi-automatic rifles. The four alleged gunmen started shooting in the concert hall and shortly after that a large explosion followed in the hall which later got engulfed in massive flames.

Scores have been injured in the attack and at least 100 people were believed to be trapped in burning concert hall by the time of publishing this video. Reports that we cannot independently verify also indicate that this attack comes some hours after the US Embassy and Consulates in Russia had issued a security alert warning of an impending attack. The statement warns people to avoid large gathering over the next 48hours. In the statement, it reads,

“The Embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, to include concerts, and US Citizens should be advised to avoid large gatherings over the next 48hours.” This comes at a time when Russian President Vladimir Putin secured a new six-year term in a victory that Reuters described as “landslide with no serious competition”.

According to Business Insider Africa, Putin dismissed US warnings about a potential terror incident as 'blackmail' just 3 days before concert hall attack. President Putin is yet to make a public statement about the attack at concert in Crocus City Hall at the time we produced this video. Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) is a wash with claims that ISIS has claimed responsibility for the terror attack in Moscow.
