Uganda Cranes involved in an accident, 7 confirmed dead

A bus carrying 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup winners, Uganda Cranes was on 9th December involved in an accident at  Jami, Kamonkoli in the Eastern district of Budaka in Eastern Uganda.

According  to Uganda's New Vision, Five people were  confirmed dead and a number of Cranes players injured.

A tweet by the country's football association, FUFA, confirmed that the cranes were indeed involved in an accident but the players were not seriously injured

The cranes were on their way to Kampala from  Soroti where they had earlier met President Yoweri Museveni to show him the trophy  they had won. The 7 people who died were from the Passenger vehicle on which the bus rammed following a tire bust from the bus
