![]() |
ODM 'rebel' MPs meet President William Ruto at State House
No trial is too heavy to lift! is what Jalango's statement read in part after he received news that he had been expelled from Orange Democratic Movement .
The party's National Executive Committee in a statement sent to newsrooms revealed that the decision was reached after the five members were found culpable of advancing the agenda of a rival political party.
The statement read "The NEC has resolved to expel from the party Hon. Elisha Odhiambo (Gem), Sen. Tom Ojienda (Kisumu), Hon. Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Hon. Felix Odiwuor (Langata), and Hon. Caroli Omondi (Suba South) for defying party position and gross misconduct."
Jalango' in response decided to take to social media and wrote the following;
No trial is too heavy to lift!No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.CORINTHIANS 10:13

The Truth: Awinja and Osoro's Wedding
A few days ago, the internet was awash with photos and videos of Awinja and Osoro’s wedding.
But what is the truth about the wedding?
To get a full picture, lets have a background information about these two love birds.
The first time the two met, Osoro asked Awinja to collaborate with him on some skits and she agreed.
It is definitely obvious that Osoro liked Awinja’s Art.
So after meeting in 2019, the two started working together. Awinja was already a brand name on the popular TV show, Papa Shirandula. Osoro was working with travelling theatre doing set books for secondary schools.
Their first skit was received well which motivated them to continue chucking out content. The content revolves around the premise of the village love (Kienyeji) with Osoro being the darling of Awinja.
After doing the skits for a while, Safaricom was impressed and approached the duo to work on a series for Baze, a video on demand platform. The series has been running on the platform but when wedding videos surfaced, the masses still believed it was a real wedding.
All the 13 episodes of Awinja’s Perfect Wedding are now available on Baze.

Six days in the wild Tsavo, 4 year old boy finally rescued
As storms raged, a four-year-old boy from Asa went missing in the surrounding wilderness. A search party set out to track his tiny footprints, but it was a monumental task. The area chief had heard tales of a SWT pilot who had helped find a lost child the week before, and he knew who to call for help.
This isn’t the first time our pilot has joined a search-and-rescue mission. He flew 70 minutes to Asa, a community near Tsavo’s northeastern boundary. For hours, he crisscrossed the landscape looking for the boy, until darkness forced him turn back. One lost night stretched into several, and it seemed increasingly impossible that the boy would be found alive in such an unforgiving landscape.
The mission was quite literally like searching for a needle in a haystack. Without food or shelter, battered by rain and surrounded by predators, any human would struggle to survive — let alone a young child.

Fighting for Mother Earth and women; Rising Gardens
One Billion Rising was conceived and Founded by Eve Ensler in 2012 with the intention of ending rape and sexual violence against women. The movement came to life on VDay, voices campaign that aims at highlighting the voices of the victims of violence against women.
Rising through the eyes of the children
In the spirit of global connectivity
and indulgence, Kenyan chapter held a successful One Billion Rising 2020 campaign at AMREF grounds in Kibera. The
2020 campaign presented an exclusive opportunity to 100 children to add their
voices to the conversation through dance and host of other activities.
The event themed “Rising through the eyes of the children” presented the impact of
the effects of violence against women in the life of children. The children
detailed their experiences and atrocities that has befallen some of them
because of violence. The campaign aimed to reveal to the defenders of human
rights the extent to which the lives of the young ones are impacted and
therefore formulate lasting solutions to the plea of the children.
This therefore affirmed the theme “Rising through the eyes of the children”
since through the voices of the children the defenders are at a better position
to amplify the campaigns’ objectives with full knowledge of the impact the
violence has had on the lives of children. With the success of the event, the
Kenyan chapter is geared towards a greater and impactful activities for One Billion Rising 2021. Indiegu Joyce
who is the creative coordinator equips that plans are underway to
take it to the cinemas with thought provoking stories that highlight how
Climate change is a contributing factor to increased cases of gender based
violence.
Rising Gardens Campaign: One Billion Rising
2021
Founder the voices Eve Ensler in her launch
for the ONE BILLION RISING 2021 statement
writes “2020 has been the most challenging year in the recent history with
Covid-19 pandemic bring the whole world to a standstill. Many lives have been
lost and millions more infected, some health workers have lost their lives in
the process of protecting and giving care to those infected by the virus. With
women making up the highest percentage of these frontline workers and are least
valued hence least protected”
Mother earth suffers the same fate. Our lives depend on it but less has been done to conserve it, instead humans have outdone themselves in polluting and dereliction of the earth.Gardens have been very vital in providing food which is essential to human survival. It therefore connects communities with the earth. Tending a garden therefore is like nurturing our own communities. Gardening involves growing and giving and not just about taking or acquiring. Gardening therefore requires patience, diligence, mindfulness and commitment.
Rising Gardens therefore is a call of action for revival,
restoration and transformation of Mother Earth and women. The campaign aims to
stop the escalating gender based violence and dereliction of the earth. Mother
earth and women have to be accorded the value they deserve for their
contribution to life.

Kipchoge dethroned
Of Tuju and locking out leaders from party offices
Tuju personally walked to KICC and had door locks of Uhuru’s office changed in a move aimed at ensuring he does not access it
Even with a court order stopping the eviction, Uhuru could not serve Tuju because they were locked out of KICC with the presence of heavy security personnel.
Deputy President William Ruto is currently the victim of Tuju's locks after the Jubilee SG issued a warning to the DP and his Tanga Tanga team not to transact their business at the Pangani based Jubilee headquarters. Ruto's team has however vowed to storm the offices on Monday 5th October 2020. The group said they will start operating from the headquarters. If the Tanga Tanga team make their threat a reality then it's likely that there's going to be a standoff with security personnel.

CBK governor under fire over banks involved in corruption scandals
THE CBK Governor @njorogep, if he was ever serious with his work, would not hoodwink the public with "investigations" on how banks engaged in #MoneyLaunderingBanks @ODPP_KE should charge him with neglect of his duty and willfully conspiring with banks to con NYS #ConsumersBeware pic.twitter.com/yKczXzdAs0— Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK) (@ConsumersKenya) May 29, 2018

Kenya seems divided following a general general election held on 8th August 2017. The Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission declared Uhuru Kenyatta the winner of the presidential election. Raila Odinga is however disputing the elections and has since moved to the supreme court to challenge the results.
Calls for secession has been floating on social media platforms with some people alleging that their communities have been marginalised
